Wessex Go Tournament

This is one of the oldest Go tournaments in the UK, first held in 1970. It has moved between various locations in the area but has mostly been in the city of Bath in recent years. Bristol Go Club took over organising the event from the Bath Club in 2019 having previously run the event in its early days.

It's typically a three-round McMahon tournament and usually takes place on the Sunday in October when the clocks go back.

Getting There

St Mark's Community Centre is a 5 minute walk from both Bath Spa train station and the main bus station. Go south from the station (i.e. away from the city centre) and across the river. See the map below.

On-street parking is now restricted on the road itself, so you might have to hunt for a space in the surrounding streets if nothing is available on St. Mark's Rd. We recommend you plan ahead or arrive by train if you can.
